Kbot holds your customer records, conversations, and pipeline — so we treat that data as yours, not ours. Here are plain answers to the questions buyers ask before they trust a system with their business.
Straight answers, no fine print
Who owns my data?
You do. Your customer records, conversations, and meeting content belong to your workspace. We process them to run the product for you — we don't sell them.
Where is my data stored?
In access-controlled databases operated for the Kbot service. Enterprise customers can discuss data-location and hosting requirements with us directly.
Can I export it?
Data export is supported where available — for example, CSV export of your leads. Need a fuller export? Contact us and we'll help you get your data out.
How is it protected?
Traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS, access requires authentication, and permissions are role-based. See the details below.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep the right to export your data. Contact us to arrange a final export or deletion of your workspace — we won't hold your data hostage.
The controls in place today
Encrypted in transit
All traffic to the workspace is served over encrypted HTTPS/TLS. Session cookies are HTTP-only, secure, and same-site to reduce hijacking risk.
Authenticated access
Every session requires authentication, and account passwords are stored hashed — never in plain text.
Role-based permissions
Administrator and member roles separate who can see and change what, so access matches responsibility.
Security headers
The application sets hardened HTTP security headers to protect the browsing session.
What we don't claim
We describe the controls we actually run — and nothing we don't. We don't display certification badges we haven't earned, and we won't claim protections that aren't in place. If your procurement process needs a formal security review, an Enterprise engagement is the right path, and we'll work through your requirements honestly.
Security questions
Do you sell or share my customer data?
No. Your data is used to operate Kbot for your workspace. We don't sell it. Our handling is described in the privacy policy.
Is my data encrypted?
Traffic between your browser and Kbot is encrypted in transit over HTTPS/TLS. For questions about storage-level protections and your specific requirements, contact us — we'll answer directly rather than point you at a badge.
Who on my team can see what?
Access is role-based. Administrators manage the workspace; members work within the permissions they're given. You control who is invited and what role they hold.
Can I get my data out if I leave?
Yes. Export is supported where available, and you can contact us for a full export or deletion when you cancel.
Do you have SOC 2 or ISO 27001?
We don't claim certifications we haven't achieved. If a formal attestation is required for your purchase, raise it with us during an Enterprise conversation and we'll be candid about our current status and roadmap.
